Biography
The Messenger
Bio by shanncrafter
The clan meant a lot to Maksym.
The small fae may have only been a messenger, but he also held another very important role.
He was the seeker of the clan, tasked with finding the exiled, the forgotten, the banished.
(He delivered dragons to their destinations too, but it wasn't as dramatic, so he usually left that part out when he explained what he did to the others)
And he loved his job.
The rest of the clan didn't know much about him.
And he preferred to keep it that way.
The fae was a Shadow dragon, born with a peculiar ability to travel through the darkness and shadow.
It wasn't easy to do so in the Sunbeam Ruins, but as long as there was light, shadows would be cast.
Maksym liked the Tangled Wood best though.
He could zip through the darkness faster than anything, and it was impossible to catch him once he was in that state.
Well, almost.
A dragon would have to look very hard indeed to spot him.
And being as skilled as he was in melting into the shadows, he had unofficially titled himself as a rescuer, finding dragons who had gotten lost in the Tangle Wood.
It was so very easy to lose your way in the dark forest, and the fact that barely any light shone in the Shadowbinder's domain did not help when it came to keeping track of directions.
Maksym knew this very, very well.
He had seen enough dragon skeletons lost in the woods to last a lifetime.
The fae's eyes had a haunted, empty look to them, which was always why he hid them behind a pair of goggles, and his face behind a birdmask.
It didn’t affect him much.
It wasn't for his own benefit anyways.
If the dragons he rescued looked into his eyes, they would be a lot less likely to follow him back to his clan.
A blessing in disguise, he supposed.
