When you first happen across the clan, you are confronted by a guardian asking "Friend or Foe?"


All was silent as the young guardian played with siblings.

"Marguerite."

The wind seemed to whisper. But she ignored it; 'twas only the rustling of leaves.

"Marguerite."

There it was again. More curious, the unnamed guardian stopped to listen.

"Marguerite."

It seemed to be coming from the water.

With careful steps she sauntered to the riverbank. First she looked to the left, then to the right. Nothing was on the side of the river that could be making the noise. Then she looked into the water.

"Marguerite."

This time it was as clear as a sunny day; the words sounded like a name.

The guardian was confused; she had no name, neither did her sisters. Has the voice perhaps mistaken herself for another dragon?

Obscured by the suns light, a dragon descended from the sky. His wings matching the brilliant light in color, his coat allowing him to blend in the clouds.

And in that moment, the guardian felt something strange bubble up from her stomach and flutter like wings in her chest. As the mysterious dragon drank from the river and then gracefully leap into the air, the guardian knew she needed to follow.
