Magic. It's a beautiful thing, hardly limited in what it can or cannot do. Innate to most, if not all, dragons, in varying degrees and forms. And the magic running through Lukera's veins is strange, something that not even the most skilled magicians in the clan can really replicate. But oh, some have- not from her clan, but from others. That's how Lukera came to be in the first place, and how she ended up in the Twilight Stars Clan.

Her father was a hero of the Shadow Flight. He was skilled at mimicking his enemies, confusing them in battle. He was a shapeshifter, his bloodline blessed by the Shadowbinder herself, their powers of mimickry increased tenfold by the fact that he could quite literally become the creatures that he copied. An ever-curious arcane clan happened to face his clan in battle, and witnessed his power themselves. They captured him, and studied his power for themselves, hoping to uncover his secrets and replicate his abilities.

The Nocturne didn't fare well in captivity. Eventually, when he was close to death, with the help of a few lightning dragons, his captors located a Nocturne egg and replaced the genetic code of the original father with the genetic code and magical signature of the captive father. The result was Lukera- a successful experiment that they raised in the same room where her father had died. Her entire life consisted of practicing her shapeshifting abilities and demonstrating them for the clan.

Eventually, a representative from an allied clan, Ethala, was sent to receive information on the experiment that had been promised to her clan. When she heard of what had been done to acheive the results, the guardian was horrified. She took Lukera away herself, and brought her into the Twilight Stars Clan. For the first time, the young Nocturne had tasted freedom, and she enjoyed it. She pledged her unique skills to her new clan, where she serves as a spy, taking on the forms of various animals and Beastclan races.
