Wandering Fishmonger | Father of the Benthosed
Our outposts have been warped by the reaches of the Poolseed for as long as I can remember. As far as I know, it’s existence was not supposed to happen. Broken clean off from its related, ever-devouring roots in the Scarred Wasteland, it somehow crashed into this humble abode and burst forth a tidal zone almost unfathomable at the distance we were from shore.
However, by the tireless work of our many hands carefully pruning and cultivating it without reckless abandon, we have learned how to live with it… and our world would never be the same. And yet, while we know not of why, it has infringed not on our workings, our connections across dragons of all kinds. Just as we have adapted to it as we have continued to build, perhaps it has adapted to us?
Maybe that's how it is. I suppose it would be in my case. It saved my life.
