Zexion is unsure when and how he joined the clan, being far too young to remember when he first joined. Regardless of how he came to be there, Zex knows he is an important member and does well with the clan children, having taken over the duty of teaching them all they need to know from his friend Marluxia after she departed to work under the Arcanist. His preferred hobby, when he is not teaching the hatchlings, is to read atop the ledge that hangs over the entrance to the clan home where the sun hits just right in the afternoons.

When Zexion is not teaching or reading however, he can be found in the Coliseum alongside Ventus and Van, both dragons he has forged a strong bond of friendship with. He is the strongest dragon in the clan, if only by a slim margin as Ventus rides his heels. Zexion is slightly reckless in battle, however.

He often charges ahead into their battles for the first strike against foes, though Ventus is never too far behind. However, it is only his trust in his teammates, built through countless battles, that allows him to be so reckless. When he and Ventus work with the newer members of the clan to teach by example, he is much more cautious.

Zexion considers Isabel to be his charge, as the other dragon hatched in his very claws and he knew right away that she was meant to be his. As a result, though the Clan as a whole has raised the Nocturne, Zexion has had the biggest influence and a much more direct hand in her hatchlinghood.
