She came one day from the depths of the Wyrmwound, claws glistening with freshly spilled blood, her face carefully hidden under mask and paint and with her consort Penumbra slithering at her side. Her lair quickly becomes strewn with the bones of animals she captures for her readings, the stench of death a constant presence in the air. This little Fae is truly unnerving and the clan gives her and her mate a wide berth unless they absolutely have to interact. Dusk herself is silent, unless her word is called for and it's rarely asked. Even amongst the brightest and most cheerful Fae of this clan, they still speak in hushed whispers whenever she is brought up. No one knows much of her, save the one she has chosen as her mate. Without anything else, the rumours in the clan are rampant: "Her gaze is blind and unseeing - they say it was lost for daring to see that which should not be seen; or willingly given to see that which normal sight is blind to. She knows all that which may come, but she only speaks of that which is dark and perilous." "Open sores cover her scales that she will not allow others to heal - they say it shows her utter devotion to the Plaguemother, and the more she suffers the more power she gains in return. She hides her face for no one wants to stare into the visage of death." "Before they depart to their new clan, she bows her head to her offspring and whispers but one secret in their ear that they must never tell another dragon as long as they live. They say that that secret is when her children will die, so that they will know when their time has come." None of these rumours may even be true, but as long as Dusk continues to be unsettling as she is, no one will ever honestly ever know. And of all the rumors, there is one that the clan refuses to speculate on - why is she here, and what did she come for?
"You have come to me for help...I hope you are prepared for the cost..."
