Biography

SQUALL
Cs0EHUy.png

arcana:
the hanged man

circle:
auster

occupation:
inventor

squall's home is a small wooden caravan tucked away between larger edifices in the carillon clan. though plain and unassuming, strange noises are often heard rattling from within- the clink of mechanical objects, the whir of motors, and even the occasional odd explosion or two. curious dragons have trouble spying through the lone small window, frosted over as it is and looking into a dark room. in fact, a chill seems to cling to the air all about the shack, and each time the door is opened a heavy, frosty fog spills out.

it is auster who opens this door most often, bringing her friend the newest parts and gadgets and ingredients found while out vulturing. these squall takes and tests and plays with and pours over until he has gone through their every practical use, modifying and combining them into new forms. squall is an inventor, and the things that leave his "shop" are one of a kind. auster often jokes that he should have been born a lightning dragon, although he revels in the cold. it was she who gifted him with his golem gauntlet to help him in his experiments; he has, of course, made modifications to it, but it is his most prized possession.
only a few things can get squall away from his work bench. he leaves to go storm riding and vulturing with auster, and when the two soar together there is sure to be weather like no other: lightning and driving sheets of rain and hail and ice. he also ventures to the curiosity shop to sell his more valuable inventions to majora. he might make visits to inara's tea shop as well, but he always takes his drinks iced.

his only constant companion within his home is chrysalis, his familiar. only she can seem to stand the icy temperatures he keeps, and she is silent and companionable enough to not mind him becoming so invested in his work. squall has a habit of muttering aloud to himself as he works, but when chrysalis is around all of his musings are voiced to the cat. he enjoys thinking up obscure riddles and jokes to tell her, but she never says anything about his terrible sense of humor.
