Mar is the clan matriarch. Her Charge is her own family line, so she has spent her life selecting favorable mates for herself and her progeny in order to improve her legacy. Most dragons in this lair are direct descendants of Mar, and their proximity to her denotes their standing in the clan - which is directly tied to how highly Mar values them.
