River - 18 - they/them England (server time +8h) about me: I'm a little obsessed (British understatement) with iamx and sneaker pimps, as well as Hamlet. I have five siblings, but since I've never lived with my two half-siblings I'm basically the older one. My other interests are mostly... just academics. I'm studying maths at uni but I also love Spanish, which I'm doing a module in. My course is fairly intensive because I'm at a university that's pretty well-known for maths, so I use FR as a place to escape to if I need to do something mindless (coli grinding) or creative (writing lore). Oh also I tend to use a LOT of emojis, so typing without them feels... weird. Sorry if I sound too blunt, I don't have the 'tears of laughter' emoji and I refuse to use a certain combination of letters. And I swear a lot, so if you see a lot of asterisks... you'll know why. about the lair:
I buy dragons impulsively so if you see me auctioning them off again, that's why. I micromanage a lot and I have an fr spreadsheet... I'm also making a family tree for my progen family and I want the names onsite to match my story so any dragon descended from my progens is not for sale, since I know if I sell them they're out of my control - the ones that don't fit in my storyline are getting trained and exalted, as are some of the dragons used as temporary mates. At the moment I'm using starlight cloaks to show which ones I'm planning on exalting soon.

All lore is written myself, and I had a freeform story from the day I started but I'm not sharing it (yet, at least). However, on 24/9 my writing app glitched or something and everything I wrote in that week is gone. I'm going to leave it because I don't have the energy to rewrite (especially when I've forgotten important details). I'm focusing on fleshing out lore in the bios.

about the clan:
Alioth and Xandust have both lost their memories of their previous clans, but Alioth was briefly reunited with a pair of dragons, Alcor and Mizar, from her previous clan. Xandust has learnt a lot about his clan, namely that they were a group of tundras led by a ridgeback, who was trusted with remembering everything and everyone the tundras would forget, and due to their isolation while the rest of the world was developing they were subject to a horrific experiment in giving powers based on genes, and ever since the clan had been careful not to have gened offspring. However, Xandust became separated due to his fear of flying, and with time forgot this. When his grandson Amedios was born, a curse was unleashed, and they had to get more gened offspring in the family until the entire group was 'together' again (more detail is given in individual bios).

goals:
- CLAN NAME
- proper bios and pretty BBCode on everything
- create a small clan symbol
- tidy up the complex one
- decide on charges!! my lair has so many guardians
- get a first gen of each element (fire 2/9, light 6/9, water 6/9, arcane 5/10, plague 20/10)
- get one of each emblem from the festivals for said dragons
- have every gene present somewhere in my progen family tree
- have a good time

names: Any (second) name beginning with X (except Xandust) has been generated from the parents' names, as this is the custom of Xandust's old tribe. Part of my spreadsheet is dedicated to this. The system's unnecessarily complicated because at first it worked by just splitting up the parents' names, but that caused problems when there were fewer letters than offspring, or there was a second litter that needed unique names, or it was a polyamorous relationship (personal preference tho - Leo uses both but Pecora only uses one), etc etc etc 'Phase 1' uses parents' names, and ends when a repeat is inevitable. For n greater than or equal to 2, 'Phase n+1' uses the names from the n^th litter.
