Otherwise, if I've purchased your dragon and it does not have a familiar, it will be trained by my expert fighters and sent along to find TideDad within a few days. There are many many different career paths available, so poets and dreamers will find their tribe (but they must pass basic self-defense FIRST). All dragons will be named by the clan before training or send-off.

If your dragon has a familiar, I may be doing a breeding project for myself or someone else and it still may be exalted in the end.

But I don't want my dragon exalted!
Exalting is a major component of Flight Rising - if you don't want a dragon exalted you should probably keep it. Even an interested buyer can find something they like better and exalt a dragon.

I REALLY don't want my dragons exalted. Can I buy it back?
Please contact me IMMEDIATELY; I can train a dragon and exalt it within minutes. If I've started training your dragon, I will sell it back for average exalt payout for that level. If I haven't, I'll sell for what I purchased for. However, I expect these purchases to be timely unless you'd like to pay exorbitant storage fees. ;)
