dynne | 20+ | any pronouns | +2 fr time | hatchery | lore ✦ use ivory-anodyne tabs for forum games ✦ clan lumenbrand is hardly a clan. that would be what its matriarch would tell anyone who asked, anyhow. they are a team of researchers first and foremost. separated into various talons, lead by a respective maven, who live scattered about the emperor's wake and serve the higher purpose of seeking sornieth's history and are well-funded by a mysterious patron. lumenbrand skitters by most political unrest by keeping its head down. it is due to this reputation, however, that the clan has become a refuge for the tired weyrfolk of sornieth who seek to escape wars and inter-flight conflict. it has continued to grow at a steady click, which draws the attention of clans with higher power and desire to have another pawn under their claws to use. |
| the ivory talon is the foremost lair of the lumenbrand. this coastal lair borders the tangled wood and hewn city and houses the clans' most intellectual weyr. historians, archeologists, archivists and more flock to it's warm sands. also serving as the commerce port, little passes by the watchful eyes of the matriarch, ragnhild, serving as this talon's maven. the rest of the clan's territory is connected to the ivory talon through underground tunnels. luminaxs' presence above makes traveling by flight or foot treacherous. |

| the tarnished talon produces warriors. lead by its battlematron, cirilas, many battle-minded dragons make tarnished territories their home and they, too, are a popular spot for various merchants to visit. the dragons there are tough, scarred, and proud of their prowess. more than happy to lend a claw to provide protection to travelers and salesweyr, a reputation of merry company follows them. from scouts and tacticians planning with ivory talon members for dangerous excursions into luminaxs' territory to a warrior singing a bawdy tune, the tarnished talon is always bustling with activity. |
| the gilded talon sees the production of the clan's commerce. masters of their craft train apprentices, the housing is colorful and the dragons are disarmingly charming. weyrfolk who make their way through the gilded talon must keep a tight grip on their treasure purse, or else they may find samples, jewelry and finery foisted upon them. hiorulf, mate to ragnhild, is treasuremaven and a warrior in his own right. he leads caravans out of the territory to hawk wares to various other clans, often bringing dragonets with them to see the world. |

| the anodyne talon is a quiet little village. nestled deep in the golden pine barrens which border the tangled wood, the dragons who make it their home are seeking a quiet life. growing what they need and selling excess or leaving it as offerings to the temple of the lightweaver, these weyr tend to err on the spiritual side. kintsugi, fieldmaven, keeps strict watch over his dragons. |
