Rumor has it a dragon lives in the Reedcleft Ascent, one who trades in stories. Big and small, true and false. Those who find the Storyteller’s lair say it is deep in the crags, that the rushing water below muffles words as easily as the winds carry laughter to the plateaus high above. The cave itself is carved full of words and runes and illustrations from denizens long past. Those who have visited the clans in the Greatwyrm Breach have made comparisons to the ancient cave paintings, though these look far more modern. They welcome those who find them, and encourage those who see to stay curious. To remember.

A story only dies when it is no longer told, after all. Long-term residents know the quickest way to rouse the Storyteller is to ask for a tale, and those who leave are asked not for payment, but simply to spread their stories for as long as they travel and invite others to come find the Storyteller’s lair. After all, much can be learned from any story, even entirely fictional ones.
