Death's Cradle

The soil of Death's Cradle is known for having supernatural properties. According to some, the fertile ground here has the ability to bring the dead back to life. Tales of horrible, fiendish creatures dwelling within keep most from exploring the foggy, disease-ridden swamp. Some brave explorers claim they saw monsters lurking about, shambling like corpses reanimated by a dark, twisted power.

Anyone who dares enter the swamp will be greeted... quite kindly, actually! The undead here are surprisingly friendly. Revenants, as they call themselves, have formed a warm, loving community around their celebration of the cycle of life and death. They warmly welcome both the unliving AND the living to stay as long as they'd like... provided they have the stomach for it.
