Before all we should tell you that this is a clan forsaken by the Arcanist. This is a clan forsaken by the Plaguebringer. This is a clan forsaken by the Shadowbinder, and by any other watchful eye with mercy behind it, and any other commanding talon with divinity inside it, and by any other soul with fortune so fair as to not already be tangled in its maw. This is a clan cornered and any perverse forgery of hope it has seems to be in the claws of the Shade. This is a clan cornered and on the verge of warping what dragons call worship. This is a clan cornered and will fire at will.

What went wrong? This is a broken clan. This is a clan of the lost. This is a clan of the twisted. This is a clan of scrounging, writhing, hungry scavengers; this is a clan with gaping eyes and staring mouths that froth and drip and lunge at opportunity. This is a clan that twists and warps and coils until one can't tell where victim ends and abuser begins.
This is a writhing clan. A clan that drips and seeps and moans its protests as the worms hound and the hounds worm into a still life of its still-alive corpse, that nestles the eggs of blowflies, a clan a pupa away from voration. A clan that squirms with the leeches filling its veins, eyes black with despair and flies.
Despair and flies. This is a sick clan. This is a sick clan, and the floor is littered with the dead and the dying, and the manylegged take chitinous root in their bodies. You are not home. You are not home, and the manylegged take chitinous root in your body. This is a sick clan.
This is a dying clan. A dying clan, and the flies are our comrades, and the flies are our progeny, and they are us and we are them and we cannot die. This is a clan that cannot die.
This clan is not a place of honor. No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here.
This is a clan with nothing to lose.
This is a clan with everything to gain.
And so much to hide.
