introduction

You wake swaddled in neatly tanned furs and knit blankets, an open fire flickering sleepily at your feet in the comforting darkness between intricately carved wooden walls. From further outside, the wind howls menacingly, a reminder of the unforgiving cold in the tundra.

The tundra. Your heart roars to life as you bolt upright, frantically attempting to make sense of where you are. Last you remembered, you were just entering the ice floes. You couldn't have gone so far unconscious and alone. Panic descends uneasily over your shoulders despite the warmth kindling in the firelight.

You hear a noise, gentle tapping of some sort echoing quietly through the floorboards. Footsteps. Another chill runs through your being. Perhaps if your hosts were kind, you would not end up being fodder for what strange religions floated through the icy expanse.

Slowly but surely, the footsteps grow louder, closer, and you brace yourself for what may come, hoping for mercy, release, maybe even a greeting. You squeeze your eyes shut and hope for the best.

The footsteps still before you, and you finally summon the courage to peer up. A jade green guardian kneels before you, a smile sweet on her lips and a bowl of broth in one clawed hand.

"I see you are awake, traveler," the guardian motions to the hearth with a flick of her hand, and the flames revive with a joyous vivacity.

You nod warily.

"You are far from home. But welcome to Argen. I am Bastiona, and if it pleases you, you may call this clan home."

No problem, go ahead and use it! I wrote the head canon to be simple enough that it wouldn't effect his future lore drastically if you were to use it.

I'm still working on getting my Noctis dragon, but hopefully that will be soon.
( I have yet to actually beat the game though xD )
