Dragons who dwell within the Ashfall Wastes are wont to change the land to their own desires and the dragons who inhabit Anville are no different. With magic and steel, they've carved out their place on the northeastern face of the Great Furnace, and in the massive scar they've made on the land lies a grand city of dragons.
Towering obsidian walls surround the city and guards are seen posted along them, ready to defend the city against any unwelcome intruders, though they are lax enough to allow for free travel by all passersby who do not appear to have ill-intentions.
Within the city itself are three distinct districts; Goodend, Central, and Badend. Beyond the walls is territory known as the Outlands.
Goodend serves as the home for the outwardly wealthy inhabitants of Anville, with its prominent residents being the Progenitors, the denizens of the Bibliotheca, and many of the city's ambassadors. The Bibliotheca is a grand library renowned across Sornieth as a central forum for exchanging knowledge and lore of the land. The streets are clean and comprised of smoothly cobbled stones and the buildings are finely built out of polished slabs of marblesque stone.
Central, as its name may suggest, is the central district of the city and serves as the center for commerce and trade. Merchants from far and wide converge on Anville's bustling marketplace to hawk their wares and goods to any within earshot. Many other establishments can be found within the Central district, including an Adventurer's Guild, a number of restaurants and other food vendors, the city's hospital, and numerous small shops. There are also many homes within Central, mostly constructed with wood or rough stone.
Head down the main street and into south Anville and you'll find yourself in Badend. As the moniker implies, Badend is where Anville's less than savory inhabitants reside. The streets are busy here, but hushed. No vendors line these dark streets, but there are a number of small shops where you'll find much of what you need, ranging from food and common household goods to things such as mostly-legal weaponry and mostly-illegal poisons. There's probably many dwellings tucked into the dark alleyways, but all the doors seem to be hidden to the average passersby. The streets are a maze, but most of the locals find their way around with uncanny ease.
Out past the city walls lay the Outlands, an expanse of sparsely vegetated land that stretches around Anville. Very few features dot this land, but a prominent one is the Longneck village that sits at the edge of the lands that Anville claims. Despite its name, the Longneck Village is made up of multiple manner of beastclan individuals, however it was founded by a band of nomadic Longneck and the name stuck. The truce between the Longneck village and Anville is a shaky one, but one that is honored by Anville nonetheless. The village is less than enthusiastic about their location, but in the harsh environment they rely on trade with Anville in order to survive.
