Mawgrim's Clan

Deep within The Viridian Labyrinth is one of the Gladekeeper’s most awe-inspiring treasures. Several thousand years old and towering several kilometers into the sky is a gargantuan magnolia tree, perpetually in bloom, blessing the land below and sky above with a canvas of immaculate white and pink petals.

One particularly auspicious clan maintains residence here in the protection of the magnolia’s massive branches. The Magnolia Sept, as their fleet is named, took it upon themselves to watch after this glorious tree, to live in harmony beside it, and to guard this natural treasure until the mountains themselves fade away. Beneath the colossal tree, amidst it’s roots, many of the Magnolia Sept shelters itself within a complex and vast tunnel system; a veritable city beneath the tree. Denizens of this cavern system all take great care not to damage the elaborate and deeply grown root system of their great tree, taking special measures to feed and water the exposed roots directly before lavishly decorating them in reverence. Those of the Magnolia Sept who do not wish to reside underground beneath the tree’s roots instead take to the sky and nestle in the strong and hearty embrace of it’s branches. With many of the millennia-old branches capable of bearing the weight of dragons, those who choose to reside amongst the magnolia blooms live a luxurious life of exquisite beauty, surrounded by the cloak of ivory petals from their namesake tree and the open expanse of the world visible beyond the veil.

Under the watchful eye and tending of the Magnolia Sept, the great tree and it’s surroundings flourish beautifully. A great river as old as the magnolia itself snakes around the trunk of the tree and provides clean water to the dragons here and the colorful gardens that blanket the landscape. Along this river, outside of the midday shade of the great magnolia, an expansive clearing spreads out, offering the reverent dragons of The Magnolia Sept a chance to unwind from their daily lives in the sunlight, or meet and gather far from the commotion of the magnolia’s intricate civilization.
