OOC - Welcome! I'm Warflier, a player who picked my name entirely based on how I could work it into my strange lore. FR +2. For details on breeding, buying etc, scroll down.

Who are the Warfliers?
In our native land, "Warflier" is a colloquial term for a dragon knight, especially amongst their own. Dragon knights are elite warriors with the skill to lead dangerous raids and the courage to fly on the backs of the mightiest beasts known to man.

The Warflier's Guild is a network of retired knights who keep in loose contact, helping the next generation take over, and they're the ones who had this idea! "Travel to this new land, rich with dragons, and study them in their natural habitat. Live with them. Test them. Nurture them." By doing this, we hope to develop a stronger bond with dragons that will allow us to coexist as allies even in normal, everyday life!

So our fearless leader collected the best dragon minds he could find, and here we are. How about some introductions?

Glossary of Native Terms
The following terms are probably not familiar to you, but they're very familiar to us. I'll lay them out for you to reduce confusion!

Dragon Knight: An elite warrior mounted on the back of a meticulously bred dragon. While "warflier" is technically a synonym, wyvern riders can also be considered warfliers. Dragon Knights are the cream of the crop in aerial combat, rivaled only by the Falcon Knights of the east (and only barely at that!)
Drake: A male dragon, especially an adult.
Faal: A female dragon, especially an adult.
Fil / Fila: In our land, one's full legal name includes a matronym; it tells who a person's mother is. Literally, it's saying "son of this woman" or "daughter of this woman". For those not of noble birth, the matronym essentially IS their family name.
Warflier: A warrior who rides a dragon. They tend to become very attached to their steeds, despite often being a bit cold to their peers.
