ah! Subspecies are just a flavor thing usually, mainly people just designing lore for a subset of dragons that have similar genes or colors and giving them a fancy title, just for fun really lol
i love gaolors! I like giving them names from my games, paradisea is Kaveh's constellation. I want to try to give them more from star rail, but they have to look right. i just pulled Neuvillette today on Genshin.
