Welcome to Scorched Rock Island!
Just off the coast of the Ashfall Waste, lies a small volcanic oasis, a gem hidden upon the surface of the searing sea that is home to a medium-sized, primarily coatl population. The thick jungles are harsh but breathtakingly beautiful, as well as home to an enormous menagerie of creatures—not just dragons, either. Forge flames can be seen even from the black-sand beaches, and amidst the harsh call of the birds and the talonok, the typical rough cacophony of smithing can be heard almost anywhere on the island if you listen hard enough.
The Clan Matriarch can be identified by her crimson silks and strikingly orange coloring, as though embodying the very lava floes themselves. Her voice, strong and warm, rises up beneath the thick jungle canopies."Watch where you step, and try not to agitate the locals. But if you're handy at something and last here longer than a couple weeks, there's always room for one more."
