Theme Week: Primal Eye Type
Rahirah's Clan
Exalting lair, but really lazy about it.
Clan Info
OOC: If a dragon has apparel and a familiar, odds are I'm not interested in selling it, but it never hurts to ask; the worst I'll do is (politely) say no. However, if you're looking for a specific color combo, I would be happy to help you breed it! If a dragon has only a familiar, they're part of a breeding project, and I would be open to selling them once I'm done with the project. Dragons without either apparel or a familiar are fodder and/or for sale.

Welcome to Suncat Clan!
Suncat Clan was founded when a pair of wandering dragons, Indigo and Autumnwing, left their native lair and set out in search of a new home to call their own. In their travels, the two of them came a across a clutch of eggs in the Rainsong Jungle, apparently abandoned. After some debate, the two decided that they couldn't simply leave them there, and commenced building a travois to transport the eggs. Distracted by their task, the two dragons failed to notice that they were no longer alone – until they were suddenly surrounded by a dozen strange Imperial dragons, accompanied by a pride of hunting Pardas. The eggs, it seems, had not been abandoned after all.
Eventually Autumnwing and Indigo convinced the newcomers that they meant no harm, and after many weeks managed to learn enough of the strangers' language to piece together their story. How their ancestors came to the jungle was a mystery, but for many generations they had lived among the Pardas, hunting with them and adapting to their new home. Raised among felines, their native draconic curiosity was reinforced, and soon enough, some of the younger members of the jungle tribe expressed interest in returning with Autumnwing and Indigo to make contact with their ancestral lairs. Thus was the Suncat Clan born.
Several years later, the newly formed Suncat Clan met another small group of dragons, the Sunsplash Clan, along the sunlit shores where Light's domain meets Water's.
The dragons descended from the Rainsong Jungle emigres have a distinctive feline appearance. (They may be related to the Earth subspecies Temple Cats, but if so, the details of the relationship are lost to time.) Suncats are XXY dragons with primary and secondary colors from Goldenrod to Tangerine, and tertiary colors from Maize to Orca. Jaguar Suncats are Goldenrod through Metals, Jaguar/Rosette/Underbelly. Tiger Suncats are Gold through Tangerine, with any combination of Stripes/Tiger, Falcon/Peregrine, or Savannah/Safari, with Underbelly. Matching primary and secondary genes are preferred. There are some rare albino (XXX or XXY Maize through Orca) or melanistic (XXX or XXY Oilslick through Midnight) individuals of both varieties. Most Suncats are Imperials, but occasional Gaolers, Obelisks, and Coatls are found among them.
Typical Suncat Clan dragons:
The Sunsplash dragons have their own distinctive coloring. They are XYX with Primary/Tertiary of Iridescent/Glimmer or Metallic/Glimmer, Indigo through Cerulean. Secondaries are Toxin or Noxtide Amber, Flaxen, Ivory, Buttercup, Marigold, Saffron, Sunset, Peach where the accent colors match the primary/tertiary color as closely as possible, i.e. Royal/Marigold/Royal, or Ultramarine/Saffron/Ultramarine. They may be any breed which possesses the requisite genes.
Typical Sunsplash Dragons:
Suncat Clanners are independent by nature, and love to explore. Friendly, curious and playful if allowed to approach on their own terms, unwanted familiarity will make them aloof and withdrawn. They can sometimes be seen as arrogant or vain, and they do take a good deal of pride in their appearance, putting great store in cleanliness. Unlike most Imperials, they have no compunctions about living in groups, and dismiss tales of Emperors with a laugh, as fright-tales for hatchlings. They are fierce fighters in a pinch, but they often prefer to avoid fights when possible – quarrels between two Suncats involve more yelling and posturing than actual damage. However, they are excellent hunters. Their insatiable curiosity gets them into everything, but their talent for moving silently serves them well in getting out of jams.
Suncat Clan at present is a mix of Suncats, dragons descended from more traditional clans, and another small clan, the Sunsplash, whom the Suncats discovered on the sunlit shore where Light's domain meets Water's. The clan as a whole is ruled by Leopardus and Luna, the leaders of the Suncats, Azurite and Ammolite, the leaders of the Sunsplash, and Indigo and Autumnwing. The six of them, along with various advisors such as Omega, the clan's war leader, and Arcturus, their diplomat, form a council which decides most of the important matters before the clan. While many Suncats remain in the Rainsong Jungle, many others have returned to the Lightweaver's domain. Contact between the two groups of Suncats is frequent. The Imperials' connection with the Lightweaver is a matter of ancient and little-regarded history for the Suncats (until Indigo and Authmnwing told them about it, it had disappeared from their histories of themelves entirely.) However, they choose to align themselves with Light because they feel, rightly or wrongly, that dragons devoted to knowledge are more likely to have open minds about other cultures; if there is any alternative to constant warfare between the intelligent races of the world, Light dragons are most likely to find it.
The dragons of Suncat Clan are Beastclan sympathizers for the most part; they maintain good relations with the local Longneck, Centaur, and Harpy tribes, and when they meet in the Coliseum, the battles are friendly contests of arms rather than fights to the death. (If dragons pass out when defeated, for RP purposes, Beastclan reps are assumed to do the same thing.) Relations with the local Maren community are less good, an uneasy truce punctuated by occasional raids.
Suncat Clanners are avid collectors of familiars – they bond with feline familiars by preference; if no felines are available, they will preferentially bond with other predators – foxes, other canines, raptors.

Is Libera the dragon you were talking about on AR? If so, and if no one else is interested, I'd be interested versus exalting her. (I'm just not so active anymore, so if someone else would want her, they should get her.) Thanks.
