HOME OF THE CLAN NUBARES

Nestled deep within the rattling bamboo groves that burst from the edges of the Reedcleft Ascent is the warm and welcoming home of the Clan Nubares. Patchwork and motley, few of the dragons in Nubares are related by blood. Rather, the clan progenitors- a soft-tufted Tundra named Quigley and his fiercely protective mate Lyra- desired to be surrounded by the warm winds and boundless community of the Windswept Plateau. Lyra carved out a place for the two of them, a home that Quigley would make, and she would defend.

What Lyra couldn’t have counted on was Quigley’s propensity for taking in strays. It started with Orin, an orphaned Imperial male, wandering the darkness of the Starwood Strand. He’d made it nearly to the Contagion when Quigley found him, shivering and hungry and painfully young. Next came Sugarberry, and then Council, and before Lyra knew it she was having to expand their lair to make room for the children Quigley simply couldn’t stop adopting.

Before long they were a proper Clan, playing and fighting and loving together where the warm winds make music of the reeds, as soft as the blessing of the Windsinger.
