Much of our Flight's territory is littered with the dilapidated ruins of their great cities which, once teeming with activity, are now eerily silent. Many are afraid to set claw into these places, but our brave scholars are not hesitant to plunge into their depths to seek whatever information and artifacts they can find. Fragments of intricately painted pottery, dusty tomes that have nearly fallen apart, and cloth that once shone with all the colors of the rainbow have been recovered and carefully examined. Welcome to Clan Vulpenthrope, named after ancient, fox-like creatures that populated much of Sornieth during the First and Second Ages. A few dragons have reported seeing one, but many dismiss these claims. After all, they are supposed to be long gone by now. Lord Delphinus and Lady Cygna, along with their knights, archers, mages,and others, have made their home near the ruins of what many believe to have been the capital city of the Vulpenthrope. They, along with a number of other clans, are tasked by the Lightweaver herself to protect Sornieth from whatever remnants of the Shade remain, in addition to anything else that would threaten their home. It is not uncommon for dragons from other flights to be adopted into the Clan, either as adults or hatchlings, and members of the various Beastclans have also found a place among these fierce beings, forming close bonds with them that allow each party to benefit from what the other has to give. Together, they all make a family that would do anything to keep each other safe.

(note I:Vulpenthrope are humans that have the ability to shapeshift into bipedal, fox-like creatures and, although those who did not share this trait were very much aware of what they were, that did not mean their presence was welcomed by all they came across. As a result, many Vulpenthrope established places where they could live in peace, and thus they did until the cataclysmic events of the Second Age.)
