it's called e-bow because their bassist, georg, lovingly known as goggi, used an e-bow on his bass during this song, which is why they were able to get such a distinctive staticky drone throughout. this is interesting because before they bowed guitar, which as you know is a big part of why they're notable, they originally tried it on a bass as a joke. the story goes it sounded HORRIBLE, they said it was like they were torturing something, and then they said, well, for shoots and giggles, let's try it on a guitar, and they did, and it sounded amazing and it's gone on to largely help define their sound, but anyways the song is ironic because they bowed a bass and it sucked but here they used e bow and it wait why are you leaving don't go
