This event is a little bit complex- there is a story to follow, and your choices will influence parts of the story as it progresses. The faster you solve the mystery, and the more you participate, the more points you earn, and the player with the most Detective Points at the end of the Festival wins the Grand Prize! The fun doesn't start until May 24th, but if you're interested in participating, just pm me, @acorncap to sign up. [b]How To Play:[/b] [LIST=1] [*]The overall goal of this game is to root out the murderer in the midst of Clan Greenclan. You do this by gathering clues, and trying to piece them together. [*]Some clues will be revealed through the storyline, while others may be hidden in the forest. [*]A host of Nature users have volunteered their dragons to play the part of various points in the forest. To travel between them, simply go to their bios, and choose a path through the links. [*]Just because a character has been poisoned doesn’t mean they will die! You have a chance to save them- In the forest there are many helpful plants, and it is your task to find them. If the majority of players bring back the correct helpful plant, then the dragon will be saved! If not, then they will meet their untimely end. [/LIST] [b]Rules:[/b] [LIST=1] [*]Please remain polite and courteous to your fellow players. [*]Each player may ask any character one question per day, and receive an in-character response from them. [*]By turning in a special item (Specified Daily), you may 'purchase' one extra question per day. [LIST] [*] The daily item will be something small and cheap, no more than 500t in the AH, and easily gatherable, such as a Smooth Pebble or a Skipping Stone. [/LIST] [b]How Points Are Tallied:[/b] [LIST=1] [*]You will receive one point for posting a NON SPAM comment in the thread (This includes stating your guesses). You may only get one comment point daily. [*]You will receive 5 points for correctly solving the Daily Puzzle [LIST] [*]If you attempt to solve the Daily Puzzle, but get the wrong answer, you will still receive 2 points for trying. [/LIST] [*]At any point in time, you may make a guess as to who the villain is. You will not receive nor lose any points for guessing wrongly, however, the earlier you guess correctly, the more points you receive. [*]You may change your guess at any time. [*]If you guessed correctly, then changed your mind, you will lose 10 points of the original total, but will keep the rest. (For example, if Bob is the villain, and you point him out on day 1, you will receive 70 points. But if, two days later, you change your mind and say Joe is the real villain, you will lose 10 points from your current total, but keep the remaining 60 for the final tally. Changing your mind back will not refund your points, and hopping back and forth will not gain you extra. This is a one-time allotment!) It is quiet enough, and peaceful enough, though the Matron has been getting on in her years. There is talk of who will succeed her, and what will become of the clan when she dies.
