Our Ancient One is Zinnia, the spirit leader of Clan Starshadow. She was killed by her own apprentice, Horginos, so that he could take the throne as leader. She now haunts the prisons and crypts of Clan Starshadow. Dragons usually visit her either because of a dare, or to seek advice. Whenever one dragon gives an offering to her, they are either blessed with invigorating strength or cursed with endless fatigue, depending on their allegiance in the clan. She rarely kills anyone, however. She is usually peaceful, and tells tales to the younger dragons. She does, however, have a burning hatred for Horginos, and will stop at nothing to kill him. She has rooted herself to Sharon's rebellion, and refuses to be at peace until it's all over. They say that a certain Beastclan can resurrect her, and return her to the throne... Oh, but can't you feel it?! The void, it's calling me- Calling all of us! It wants to eat our souls, so that we never ascend to the heavens, it wants to absorb us! It needs sustenance, so that it may expand and envelop this whole useless world! All that muck and grime, the ooze, it will fill every crevice of reality, and it will change the world into a paradise! All you have to do is live to see it!
And why aren't I scared? Because the void is the afterlife, and I am its Grim Reaper!

Strengite is my clan's Ancient One - four years old, and six digits. A prolific list of offspring, all named. And, like all my female Spirals, pampered with a usermade Accent. Okay, this was really hard... my actual oldest dragon is a ranger who rarely spends time in the main lair at all, and most of the dragons that secret themselves away in dark caves are ones you wouldn't want to go near. I think this girl fits best.
The cave is only dimly lit, the dark chalcedony highlighted with an eerie pale blue glow which originates from somewhere at the back. There were runes at the front, painted in a shimmering gold, that warned of silence and manners, so a visitor would be forgiven for feeling that perhaps they should turn around and leave. It is at the moment a visitor makes that very decision - turn around, leave, and try to forget this cave ever existed - that a quiet voice would speak up, softly encouraging them to enter further into the cave. There is no malice in the voice, only an undertone of amusement, so most visitors would be mollified enough to allow their curiosity to once again take over and edge further into the cave. Away from the bustling of the clan, at the back of the lair, there is a coatl. Her feathers are dull, declaring her an outcast of her breed. A bad omen? Perhaps. Pale blue runes decorate her body, echoing the glow that prevails inside the cave. Now closer, the visitor would be able to see the basin of still water, sending off a chill that makes it feel more like ice, with an orb floating in the air above it. The temperature this far back into the cave is far colder; a visitor could be forgiven for wondering if they had fallen through a portal to the Southern Icefield, as the chill would be far more appropriate there than the cave's location in the Starfall Isles. The breath of the coatl is visible in a fine mist, growing and evaporating in time to her breaths. The visitor's does the same as they finally come to a stop in front of her, wondering why they had been drawn in so far. The coatl's mouth shapes into something resembling a grin as she begins to hiss, words in her own tongue falling around the visitor. It is at this point many turn and flee. A cursed coatl - a Sin coatl - talking in an uncomprehensible tongue is enough to daunt all but the hardiest of warriors, or fools. For a dragon fluent in the tongue, her words may or may not strike fear as the oracle hints at their future, depending on what is due to come their way. Yashoku has no intentions of causing pain to her visitors, but many are incapable of understanding.
No dragon is in my clan really, especially considering how the clan started with the clan's progenitors who are still very much alive. So, Glaz Krovi is more of an ancient one personality-wise in that he's wise, knows the clan's history and secrets, is a pretty great storyteller, and has a fairly mysterious background.

She's had visions of the future since she was a small hatchling. Most of them have been violent, unpleasant, and bloody. And they usually have to do with things happening far, far away from her home Clan Mantra, or the Ice Tribe she was born into. She doesn't like surprises, she doesn't want to try new things. She is perfectly happy with her life being exactly the same from day to day. As such she follows a rather strict pattern and doesn't like to change it. And so she lives a bit away from the rest of the main part of the Clan. So that she is not accidentally bothered by others. Rise at dawn. Perform her daily ablutions, washing, preening feathers, grooming her talons and brushing her mane and tail. Then she sets her Glowing Pocket Bauble out in the sun. Eat a light meal, consisting only of wingless insects, like caterpillars and such. Then Meditate for a time. Spend time at her craft. She enjoys simple things that keep her hands busy. Weaving, crocheting, braiding rope. She makes dreamcatchers and other yarn and fiber items. Scarves, hats, blankets. Then a lunch of winged insects and green plants. Then she goes and wanders around the Clan, stopping to see friends, trading goods with others, singing, dancing a little, making music. Once the sun has truly start to set and it is getting dark, she makes her way back to her small nest. Brings the bauble inside. Writes in her her journal while munching on a light dinner of non-green plants only. Flowers petals, berries and other fruits being a favorite. She has found over the years that if her routine is thrown off-kilter too much, she's more likely to have a vision. She is a devote believer in the Godddess.
