Lore (by HereBeDragons) Psittacines originated in the forests of the Viridian Labyrinth, where most species developed brightly-colored plumage in order to be seen by their friends and family in the shadowy depths of the jungle. Now they can be found in all parts of Sornieth, and while most tend to prefer warmer climates, they range throughout the world, even the farthest reaches of the snowy Southern Icefield. Psittacines are friendly, gregarious dragons who much prefer to be in the company of others. It is not uncommon for a flock of Psittacine dragons to stick quite close together throughout their daily activities, calling continually to one another in mixed flocks of dragons and birds. Even a lone Psittacine living in a clan without other members of their flock will usually form close relationships with other dragons. Psittacines are uncomfortable when they lack companionship, and may become depressed, to the point where their plumage will fade, and they pluck out their own feathers. Psittacines are active dragons - often flitting from one thing to the next - and they tend to be very vocal, communicating loudly, enthusiastically, and often with one another, in what can sometimes sound cacophonous to calmer, quieter dragons. In addition to using their voices, Psittacines have developed a the ability to communicate using the crest of feathers on their shoulders, and can express a wide variety of emotions through different displays of plumage. A Psittacine whose crest feathers are standing up straight is excited about something, or happy to see you; one whose crest feathers lie entirely flat is probably not in a very good mood, and should be be avoided.

@MochaMiel

I've finally gotten the information up about the new Psittacine Subspecies. I've got the first four variants listed (more to come). If you're interested in becoming a breeder, let me know, and I'd be happy to help you find some parents to get started.

:)

@SummerLark
Sorry for taking forever to get back to you!
They're absolutely perfect!! I'm afraid I have no lair space at the moment to be a breeder, but keep me on the ping list, I'm eager to see hatchlings and future pairs <3
