Determined and driven; it would only make sense for a fae such as Octja to take on the Wasteland alone.

Octja was not raised within the safety of a clan, or a parent’s care. The only friendly face she’d ever known was that of a small nymph who warily watched over her. Magic came to her easily, and with time, she was able to fight and defend herself to survive. As she grew older, she found herself coming to the aid of less fortunate dragons in need, many of them stragglers or loners themselves. Many of them left with a swift thanks, but a number of them decided to stay; thus, Clan Verivala began.

It had always been in Octja’s nature to welcome dragonfolk with open arms and a warm attitude, as she’d experienced traversing the Wasteland alone firsthand, and wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. At first, the clan was a refuge for anyone and everyone, until Azazel wormed his way in one day and sunk his claws in. His ruthlessness and eagerness to fight was met with a hostile attitude at first, but it wasn’t long before the clan began to see him as a strong leader with bold ideals and fearless attitude.

Once Azazel started welcoming his own preferred dragons into the clan, Octja began to notice the slippery downhill slope that Verivala was taking. She confronted him and, she noticed with smugness, he was taken aback at her vicious determination to protect the clan. With time, they formed a rocky alliance and agreed to work together to build the clan, though their two opposing goals quickly separated the clan into their own sides. Despite this, she still sees the best in all, and she hopes one day she can knock Azazel down a peg and get him to see eye-to-eye.
