Within there is an island, inhabited by many dragons of different breeds, flights, and minds. The hands hold both of them and each of these items holds a special value and symbolism in the clan's banner. The Lantern has gone through many different variations in history, but the one the EGC uses is a traditional 6 sided metal lantern; which makes sense due to their fire flight heritage. The Lantern was a symbol of an open home at a town entrance or an inn, a beacon to those at sea or in the forest, and a guide for lost souls. The Flame represents a welcoming light, like the one of a candle. It is a guide for weary travelers and a comforting sight to those at home. It is a sign of hope, but also one a danger. For a small flame can soon become a forest fire is left unchecked or recklessly targeted. The Hands that hold the Lantern and the Flame, they are representative of the wings and mindset of the clan; they are open and welcoming at all times, but also protective. They were selected for their beauty at first, but the meaning of them has evolved as the clan as grown. Each biome of the island has adopted their own vision of them and tells their own stories... However, the true meaning is represented by the meaning of the colors. Red is the color of passion & determination, but also of rage & blood. It states the clan is willing to put the work and passion into the situation, but they're also willing to protect what is their own. The Jade is a form of Green, which represents life, rebirth, balance, and vitality. Crafted by the finest of mages the Eternal Glow possessed, it houses a variety of biomes that are kept and managed by the mage in that area. The island itself was accelerated in growth and has slowly had its inner workings morphed to allow the active volcano within to create new land on its own with minor monitoring. Upon meeting Elthor she found a kind and compassionate soul, and soon enough they were mates. As their clan grew, members joined and left. They opened their wings to accompany more and more flights, but it soon became apparent that their territory in the Flamecaller's abode was not going to support the multiple flights they housed.[/size] [size=5]So the Eternal Glow did the most sensible thing...
