So, as the title states- I'm finally motivating myself to get an art shop up and running! But I've run into a little snag. I don't know what art of my level of effort would generally be worth! So I'll provide a few examples and ask for help with the pricing and here I will also collect a ping list for anyone interested when I finally open it up! I have a request shop up (currently closed) that I open every once in a while for practice that can be found [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=mb&board=cc&id=1279284]///here///[/url]. You can find examples of of my dragon art there, as well. Also BM it if you'd like because you will never know when I will want to open it again and you wouldn't want to miss the request window! When I take commissions I will primarily be doing busts. But! I will also do gijinkas. I love gijinkas. I live for them. I'll tally up the opinions if I get any more UvU Also I just finished scribbling up a gijinka of HighwayMan on the fly just so I can produce a quick example! Of course I will put more effort and detail and not color all on one layer when I do gijinka commissions. I'm with Kizmetto, Around 70kt-80kt for a dragon bust is a good price :D
I would help you with gijinka pricing but for some reason your art isn't showing up for me for that ;u;

@lomps I'd price the gijinka similarly too, maybe more per gene/apparel or something along those lines.

I think I'll probably range both from abt 70kt to 80kt, depending on genes and accessories and how detailed customers expect the gijinkas to be :0

@lomps ok lets test how much would you expect to be paid based on the complexity of the following dragons? (I have a point i swear but its all up to you being the artist and what not!) :)

@Kizmetto hmmm (rubs chin) I'd sayyy? Depending on whether or not you'd like the wings included because some people like gijinkas completely human-looking while others like them to maintain some of their original form's properties.
I know when I was in the Pokemon-gijinka'ing business, I did a mix of people with as little as just eyes looking similar and clothes that match the style of the pokemon to full out monster hands and teeth and claws and tails, etc.

But I'd say about 75kt, maybe! 80kt for wings. Probably. Wings are a battle.
They're a battle, but I don't want to be charging unfair prices, you know? :0

@Lomps Voila! So perhaps you can have 'make your own package' and tailor it that way?
maybe...im not sure what categories you could put for gijinkas but since you have to design them they should be more expensive since you have to use brain power (more so than just merely drawing their dragon yknow?) i'd possibly say 90k for a gijinka bust +5k per extra dragon features (horns wings etc non human things?)

I think these are perfectly reasonable prices, and comparing to other artists of different skills i think this falls in nicely into the 75k-100k range :)
