For example the most powerful spirit in my forest, Aenon is bonded to the whole forest, and his mate is bonded to the largest tree in the forest. It can be general too, like being bonded to rosemary or birch trees. It can be like animals and bugs and stuff too. If what a forest spirit is bonded to is injured or destroyed, they will suffer catastrophic damage themselves. Kind of like losing a charge and a pearl all in one. Most would not survive this unless a major forest spirit like Aenon was there to help them. It is possible for them to be bonded with something new, but, again, only with the help of a major forest spirit. It is also possible for what they are bonded with to be reborn or for their bond to be passed down. (more detail in specific bindings below) Spirits with general bindings, like the spirit of all raccoons, are usually long lived and grow to be quite powerful, since it would take the extinction of all raccoons to grievously injure them. Though their health and strength does wax and wane with the species. They are most tuned in to and affected by what’s closest to them. As with the raccoon example, they would be able to feel the specific injury or death, or joy or birth, of a raccoon in close proximity of them. Such general bindings, like Aenon’s bonding with an entire forest, are rare. Specific bindings can be rare too. It’s not uncommon for spirits to be bonded with a single tree, such as Aeronwen (one of my spirits) is, but that is because trees have long lifespans. A specific bonding with say, a single raccoon, would result in a short lived spirit. However, their bond can be passed down. For Aeronwen, she could survive the loss of her tree if she had a seed from it. The tree that would grow from this seed would be her new bond. She would be significantly weaken but would become strong again with the growth of the new tree. A spirit bonded with a single animal might have their bond passed down through the animal's offspring. This isn’t true of most specific bonds, but is generally true, especially with help from a major forest spirit. Bruin (another one of my spirits) is somewhere between specific and general, with his flock of peacocks. The flock’s numbers tend to swell and shrink. He feels each passing, but he has the rest of the flock to shore him up. He is at his strongest when the flock is large and healthy.[/quote] I came up with all the above lore and I don't mind answering questions about it! I'm not sure what the difference is between bios and stories and if these count? They have pre formatted bios that can be easily edited to fit whatever you like. I can assign them their spirit bonds but I thought it would be more fun to leave it up to you guys. Thank you for your time and feedback would be great!

I personally don't see these as story dragons? They've got lore, but imo these fall under subspecies, not story dragons. The parents don't have individual characters (besides three sentence bios about what they're bonded to) or stories, and the hatchlings aren't personalised at all.

@Heartmane Thank you for the advice. Would you consider a bio like Dayn's (I wrote his bio) as a story dragon, then?

I also updated their bios to be more personalized, something I should have done sooner but was too lazy to tackle earlier.
