The Second of the Eleven Knights of Argus. He has been part of the Knights since before Argus's death, and he was the only current Knight not personally appointed by Vell. Polite, but aloof, and rarely speaks to those around him, only really appearing in public at all when strictly necessary. It’s a common occurrence for the rest of the Knights, bar Juno (and sometimes Iari,) to have no idea where he is at any given time.

Has two familiars - Aasim, a Nightmare, and Eiyuu, a Baku. Both primarily appear to him through dreams and serve as his only source of solace through the nightmares he suffers from. Guardian spirits if you will.

Host and occasional Wielder of the Manifold Truth, the path to worlds beyond. Adjacency competitor to Iari, though both have the same goal and are far happier to work together, regardless of who wields It at any given moment. Frei, personally, prefers It being with Iari, however.

- a lot of his nightmares revolve around the wyrmwound bc guardian lad got dragged into it

- highkey mysophobic

- had his plague doctor mask since he became one of the eleven knights, but after argusn’t happened he now refuses to take it off

- feels guilty for argus’s death despite having actively tried to prevent it
