I miss you dearly. I know we promised not to say anything to each other after what happened with Trinity, but I wish we hadn't left each other. Olethros, I want to meet again. I want to see you, face to face. I still need you. I've given up on most of my inventions because of Trinity. They all feel so... dangerous. Wrong, somehow. I know that you can help fix that feeling. Thank you for writing back. If I'm being truthful, I thought you would ignore my letter. As always, I find myself having to remind you to take a break from your work. Too often you get sucked into your inventions and unable to leave, even for food or sleep. Olethros, don't fall into that same pattern. You know it's dangerous for you. People care for you and if you continue to treat them worse than your inventions then you might find yourself in a similar position as before I met you.

I know you wish to stay away from each other, but we cannot keep pretending Trinity did not exist. What happened to her was more than unfortunate, but you know I loved her just as much as you. Olethros, please. We need to talk about her, and we need to talk to her clan. She's been missing for weeks.

Please, meet with me. I will be waiting at the edge of the Zephyr Steppes tomorrow, all day. Talk with me. Even if you hate me, just talk to me. Please.

You never showed. I waited for five days at the Zephyr Steppes, and you never came. Please, Olethros. I don't want to be cliche, but you know I care for you. Should I leave my clan and join yours? I miss you so much, and I know you miss me too, no matter how hard you try to hide it. I can feel your aching from miles away.

I got you a gift as well. The messenger dragon should arrive with it at the same time as the letter. I hope you like it. On the topic of messengers, I also told Trinity's clan. They are not happy. I am glad I signed it anonymously, but even though they are in the Tangled Wood, I have still heard rumors of the murdered Imperial. I worry they might track me or you down.
