the charge & the transformation
it used to be her charge, back when she was a guardian, and he was too fixated on it to notice that it had hoarded dozens of dragon eggs, some of which were dying of neglect (an akirbeak can only brood over so many eggs at a time). kelilah stumbled across him & his akirbeak and was horrified at the eggs’ treatment, and helped him round up and tend to the eggs until they hatched. (kelilah shaped her pearl out of shards of all her new childrens’ eggs). now that she’s no longer blinded by the Charge, she helps his akirbeak find better eggs to incubate. |

This peculiar fowl collects any unattended eggs it may find, creating a vast nest of pilfered eggs to brood over.
