GrainLocket made her way to a small saltwater marsh that had formed in the aftermath of a collapsed cliff where the Sunbeam Ruins met the Tsunami Flats. The water clan who called the wider area home had some enthusiastic tunnelers with no engineering sensibilities whatsoever.

Since the swamp was still relatively new it had not been claimed by any other dragons, other than a watchful Fae colony on the cliffs overhead. GrainLocket ignored them and quickly set up a ramshackle abode, proclaiming the swamp hers.

The clan who's territory she was in were none too pleased to find a cantankerous Bogsneak on their border and tempers started to flare. GrainLocket found herself outnumbered but refused to leave "her" swamp, even though she knew the Guardians could easily force her out. In the end, it was the clan's Skydancers who were able to mediate a peaceful solution as they could sense that GrainLocket was in fact rather desperate to stay in her little swamp and really meant no harm to the clan.

GrainLocket graciously agreed to help the clan guard their border and in return they agreed to ignore her - as long as she didn't try to steal from the clan's hoard. The other beachcomber dragons were somewhat miffed as they knew the Bogsneak would offer some stiff competition for treasure hunting.

Taw, one of the clan's founding members and an occupant of the Fae colony GrainLocket unwisely chose to ignore, was pleased to find a peaceful solution. She could sense the magic in GrainLocket and has even offered to teach the Bogsneak, with the aid of the clan's Skydancers. Although she would never admit it (and in fact thought she had fooled the clan with her bluster), GrainLocket was quite happy to be attached to such a large and friendly clan. She especially liked the magic lessons with Taw and liked teaching the hatchlings in the clan's Tidepool how to burp the alphabet.

As she grows more adept at her "swamp magic" the other dragons in the clan will now sometimes come to her for help with various ailments and afflictions. It has also become a rite of passage for young and brave hatchlings to try to sneak through the swamp to find Granny Locket's house and the fabulous treasure they know is there.
