Eyes widen momentarily as Autiot asks the question, but soon the surprise fades away into embarrassment and realization. "Ah, yes, I forgot... Croswell guards its secrets shockingly well from the rest of the world. Information is their greatest and most well kept vice." Once again, the Wildclaw puts his hand on Blaise's shoulder with the slightest of smiles on his face. "The world is overflowing with magical energy what with the chaos generated by the Shades, it only made sense that another powerful being would be formed from it. Cerena had a difficult time trying to believe it all. As arrogant as she was, even she was doubtful of her status is a scion of an ancient deity. But for now, she held her tongue and let the others do the talking for her.
In any case, she was itching to have her hands around one of these so-called relics.

[columns]Another scion, of course. If what Camus said was to be believed, this Blaise individual was... The Primal Scion? Another name to keep track of.
That is, if they were telling the truth. Autiot strode forward without warning, coming uncomfortably close to both Camus and Blaise, and leaned forward to sniff Blaise. He had no idea if he'd be able to tell if they were a scion just by smell, but he was certain there was something different about the smells of the other scions and if Blaise shared it then he'd believe whatever they said about this other deity.[nextcol][/columns]

Mazon raised an eyebrow. "You met a deity. Really? And you are how old?"

Behrad[emoji=plague rune size=1]
Behrad's amazement at the situation, both the books and magic, is swiftly shut down at hearing that this Blaise was not only another Scion, but one that had met their deity. "You're telling me they met their deity, but I haven't? What makes them so special?" Behrad huffs, jealousy lacing his voice. Then with a jolt he remembers his previous experience and being thrown to the floor, and he stands from where he had been leaning against a bookshelf, brushing off the front of his robe.
"Not to be rude or anything, I'm just uh, confused as to why they get to meet a deity and none of us, who are tied to more... known gods have had very little contact." He almost says more real gods, his mind telling him that this strange creature is clearly a fake, but he holds his tongue, and forces a smile. He really doesn't feel like being thrown to the floor again.

One of them was sniffing them? Blaise just watched as the dractare in front of them sniffed them. There was no threat in it, so Blaise saw no reason to react to the sniffing occuring to them. They stare the group down as questions bombard them.
As the skydancer questions a bit differently than the rest Blaise focuses their gaze on him. They grin wide enough for their unnaturally long fangs to be shown on full display. Blaise looked feral for a few moments before they spoke "It's true I did meet my deity!" They answer "I was really young when it happened, and my memory is really fuzzy except for when I met Wildguard." Blaise tilts their head as they think for a moment "As for my age right now I do believe I'm 24? Though it's hard to keep track of that"
Their face scrunches as they try to recall how young they were when it happened, but it failed to come to them. "I don't know how long ago it was when it happened, but not long after I was taken to this place." They gesture briefly around "Croswell has been my residence for as long as I can remember before it get's fuzzy to me" They sweep their gaze once more around the group as they grin once more fangs full display once more "I don't lie when it comes to meeting a deity, so I hope you can all believe me."

As much as Talle wished to stand back and absorb all of the information that was assaulting her, she refused to allow this to devolve back to the chaos that had disrupted their time at the Council. Talle had hoped that they would be provided with answers, but all they had received were questions and angry looks. She wanted things to go differently in this new opportunity; she had to intervene before someone else escalated matters further.
"Your story makes sense to me," she said quickly to Blaise, "If I'm understanding correctly, this...Wildguard is the youngest and newest of the dieties. It wasn't here to be destroyed when the other gods were, so it's entirely plausible that you could have met it."
She paused, thinking carefully, before continuing with a question.
"Were you granted your 'scionship' by it directly, or was that an indirect remnant of your meeting?"

Of course, the idea of meeting a god in person was... Interesting, to say the very least. Deimos had a lot of questions about that, but later. Now, there were more important things to do.
"Besides, even if it's not true, isn't it better to have another ally regardless?"[/columns]

Psilocybe's own voice felt almost unfamiliar to him. How long had it been since he'd last spoken? He was pretty sure he'd only been in Croswell for two days, but the constant iron grip of anxiety made him feel like it must've been at least a month. The glares of the Council, the utterly unbelievable information they'd saddled the scions with, the brief tension between the two groups, the arrival of Kavra - all of that certainly hadn't helped.
But, mercifully, the giant library was starting to calm him down. Just the sight of all of those books was enough to drag his mind out of the fight-or-flight panic it had been stuck in. He'd really like to hold one. To him, the touch of a worn page felt like the smile of an old friend.
Maybe it was just his brain associating their presence with his stress dying down, but Psilocybe found himself immediately trusting both Camus and Blaise. He didn't have the energy or the presence of mind to wonder how a new god could form and then meet (or create?) its scion within the past three decades - he was just glad he didn't feel quite like he was about to die.
