I've been wanting to gene up my progens and their children and would love some inspiration!
So far I'm happy with two of them (The mother and daughter)
Seaspray
Calathea
The father and the two sons are still being worked on. My only requirements are that they remain fae!
Maroon
Maroon, the Blood Betta. Vibes I'm going for are deep sea and maybe dignified/horror? I've attempted a scry but I'm not quite happy with it (though I do like the sludge wings resembling his namesake)
Sealettuce
Sealettuce. Going to very nature focused and leafy, but maybe with a somewhat aquatic touch. Haven't done a scry as of yet.
Celadon
And last but not least, Celadon. He will hopefully have similar vibes to Sealettuce, but more forest-like and shady.

Blaze/Gecko has a really neat effect on Fae wings, I think it works really well on Celadon :)

Blaze/Gecko has a really neat effect on Fae wings, I think it works really well on Celadon :)
took a crack at the father, hopefully this helps capture the deep sea and dignified horror vibes? mostly playing with okapi and scales for the tert, pharaoh, lionfish, and vipera for the primary, and faceted or glowing for the eyes

Gave them all a shot! They're all quite fun to work with :D I always love scrying male Fae, there's a good reason I own a ton of them myself...
Maroon has a lot of secondaries that work quite well, but Saddle happens to be my personal favorite option for the bright pop of color it brings in. Noxtide and Flair are also quite nice, and so is Jester if you're willing to splurge for two gem genes (plus it has a purple accent!) Changing the eyes to Dark Sclera also brings out a slightly more creepy factor, if that's what you want.
Sealettuce I went for something a lot simpler with. Swirl for a slightly watery texture, Current for a leafy texture, and Points because it's simple and doesn't clash against the other patterns. Okapi also works quite nicely as another tert option since it has similar color distribution, but I think the placement of Points works a bit better here.
With Celadon, I think if you want him to be similar to Sealettuce you could get away with Swirl and Current again, but with something else for the tert? I personally like Capsule, but Peacock and Spines are also nice. I also changed the eyes to Pastel for the contrast, but this scry works without that too.
For something more distinct, however, maybe something like this could work? Algae Choir and Fern Peacock match really well.

AHHHH So many have been summoned!! Thank you all so much, I definitely have a bunch of inspiration now. (These scrys were so COOL) It might take some time for me to save up for the genes I'm wanting now but I think I'll update how it goes!
