someone please convince me not to spend 5 million treasure on tickets...
I really only want the coal girl; she'd be the perfect sister for Kesper here :'))

imagine.... though with my luck, I'd get an egg, which would end up being a very expensive egg. e.e'
That 5 million treasure will most likely be thrown away for nothing.
The wait is awful, but starting a breeding project would be more productive in the long run.

Oh absolutely, but I'm really only interested in gen1s... any G2+ dragons I have are either special ID dragons or oldies I couldn't bear to part with :')))
bonus for Roundsey dragon weheheh

Spending more than 5000T on Roundsey is generally a terrible idea because it's a lottery. You might not get anything.

Don't do it! That way it increases the chances that I might win the dragon with my 50kt worth of tickets :)

My general rule is I only buy Raffle Tickets if I want the lowest prize, and I'm willing to pay that amount for it.
Would you pay 5millT on one nature egg? Than don't spend that much. Spend slightly less than the LAH so it still counts as a "net win" if you get that!
(Of course, this won't protect you from getting nothing, but it keeps things more reasonable and less catastrophic)

Does it matter if you win it, or are you interested even if you have to buy it from the winner?
I'm asking because the odds are stacked against you for winning one specific prize. There are 101 other prizes that, if you won them, would prevent you from getting the one you wanted. If it were me, I'd be investing a limited amount in tickets - enough to get a small chance, at least - then stop myself and save up the rest for the most likely scenario, which is buying it on auction.
If winning is important, then calculate how many tickets you'd need to get a decent shot at one of the prizes and decide if it's worth the risk.
I'd recommend not spending more than you would need for a G1 project of a similar scope (ie, sandsurge breed change + genes you'd want + buying a G1 with colours that you like).

every time i see someone make a post about a roundsey dragon, i inwardly grieve because more people will remember roundsey exists, buy tickets, and the OP's chances of winning said dragon is reduced dramatically </3
