I've had too many good memories on flight rising to just pick one, but I guess I could say I'm so happy to have met the love of my life because of this game. It started with a drawing I made of one of my dragons, and now we've been together for almost 4 years!

ooh! a nice thing that happened was an ID hatch yesterday. i was aiming for #100054321 so it could be a friend to my guy #100012345, but hatched my nest just a second too early and missed it by one.
figured i could at least ask the person who DID hatch it if they were willing to part with it, so i sent a PM explaining why i wanted it. turns out, they had stayed up late to hatch it themselves BUT would be willing to trade since the friends idea sounded so cute! i'm very thankful and looking forward to spoiling my two lil guys. I don't have one particular favorite FR memory, but I remember the day I decided to sign up - I don't tend to do well with online games that require regular checking in, and virtual pet games had never really interested me before, but... dragons. The genetics system. The skins and clothing. Dragons.
I signed up tentatively and was hooked within an hour by one thing in particular: the community. So many threads for newbies, welcoming them, offering free dragons. It never felt gatekept, or as if I'd have to save up for years just to begin thinking about working on a project. It's a warm and cozy place, and it's been a great few years.
