I keep seeing people go "ugh I hate their [i]flat face[/i]" and I'm like

Next I'll be told Guardians and Nocturnes have flat faces because they [i]also[/i] have underbites.
The babies have flat faces because they're [i]babies[/i]. Everything is rounder.
And aside from having a ton of limbs (which was desperately needed for Ancients) and some antennae, they aren't even that buglike. They need genes to accomplish that.
Having said that, if the vibes don't mesh then the vibes don't mesh. I'm not particularly fond of chubby dragons myself, but I wouldn't really say I'm disappointed. I'm too happy over an ancient dragon finally getting multitudes of [i]visible[/i] limbs.

I am ADORING the design for these guys. Unsettling, chunky, unique compared to so many recent releases - they are a truly special breed and I am EAGER to start scrying them. What a wonderful new ancient!!

these are kind of cute, but I kiiiind of feel like they don't fit as a Light Ancient T_T oh well.

Well this was... definitively something I was not expecting. And no, sorry, not in a good way. I really find this paper/insect theme a bit redundant, especially since we already have the Aethers. For a Light ancient I expected... more.
What is surprising tho, is their genes and head design. Despite not being my cup of tea, I think staff has done an incredible job with genes on this breed and the head it's simply facinating!
