I can imagine that a later ancient will be released via Arlo, but it seems to soon for the next one. It will take a while for people to level their archaeology.

Dinosaur dragons don’t have to be divided by Flight. Yes, Nature does have the dinosaur aesthetic with Wildclaws, but in my own opinion Banescale (them avian traits) and Ridgeback (Baryonyx claws) have some dinosaurian traits as well. It can be argued anything with avian traits is a little bit dinosaurian.
Arlo will also likely not only have dinosaurs. The plot we have right now is about dinosaurs, but future plots might not be. Seeing the dinosaur familiars was what gave me the idea, not Arlo’s excavation.
Ancient might not be (and is probably not) connected to Arlo, but it sure is a dinosaur.

Ahhh okay. I don’t think it’s a You thing. Fossils[i] do [/i]have that association. I think my brain focuses more on the Jurassic Park-ish “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth,” so I think in my own brain dinosaurs/fossils are less Earth-y (which I associate more with mummies and raw bones) and more Neutral in terms of the FR Flight. Pretty interesting to see brains work!
I don’t think it’ll be mutually exclusive (I love my monstrosities). Honestly, I’m hoping for a fleshy, mutated, avian hydra-thingy. Something like if Vaal Hazak from Monster Hunter fused with a zombie Tyrannosaurus from D&D!
