Blood iridescent - Blood shimmer - Blood crackle
55 gems. I suggest a creepy name, like "Wendigo" or "Grendel" or "Redtide".
Lore:
The water in the pond is red as blood
And always has been, or so we've heard. If you go south
From the lighthouse, and cross the bog, across the mud:
You'll see it. A crimson pool, or maybe a mouth.
So it's always been, or so we've heard, until this year,
When we came to see and didn't know what to make
Of it. Amid the trees the water was crystal-clear;
a trail of footprints leading out of the lake.
Tanzanite
Royal crystal - Royal facet - Purple smoke
45 gems.
Lore:
The geode was the biggest they'd ever found,
At least in this mine, in this backwater town.
When they struck it with a hammer it inhaled,
The craggy stone expanded and went back. "A shell,
Not a rock- some ugly elemental's bound within-
But not for long, it has a pulse as well."
The townsfolk brought it to the universities,
Where scholars had never seen so dark an art.
Old as the hills, still bearing some living beast -
Fearing the worst, they cracked the stone apart.
In the wave of dust, resplendent, amid the stoney slough,
There she stood, and breathed, "It took you long enough."
