So from what I've seen through this thread/spreadsheet and my own transmutations, things appear to work like this.
Food - Goo
Trinkets - Sludge
Materials - Ooze
Apparel - Slime
Familiar - Muck
Whether the colors/metals are random or not, I'm still unsure. Seems everyone's doing a fine job in experimenting though, so if there is a pattern, surely it will be found.
* Edit, totally didn't notice the update mentioned the above when I first posted but I'll keep it here anyways in case anyone else missed it too.
