Hard working. Polite. Kind. These are all words that could be used to describe Bressay. And indeed, he does appear to be all of those things.

The truth is that it’s all a lie. He’s a master of deception. A con-man and an unrepentant thief. He’s careful, though. He never takes more money than he needs from the treasury. It wouldn’t do to be discovered. After all, he’s spent ages building up his reputation. To have it all come crashing down around his ears would be a complete disaster for him. He can’t have anybody realise just what he’s up to.

They say pride comes before a fall. But Bressay’s certain that he’s covered all his tracks so far. In fact he’s positive. Nobody in his two previous homes ever figured out that the one stealing all the treasure/gems was him.

Then again…Bressay hasn’t met the treasurer of Felhallow yet.

And he has no idea that said treasurer is determined to catch the thief. No matter what.

He doesn’t seem to fulfil a particular role in the council…just does whatever he needs to in order to keep up appearances. Sometimes that’ll be writing down the minutes of a meeting, other times it’ll be doing whatever Barra tells him to do. He does have a lot of spare time. That’s usually used for planning. Or trying to get free stuff from the marketplace.

Though in this case, “free” means stolen. He can’t erase the habits of a lifetime so easily. And, to be honest, he doesn’t really want to.

Cino doesn’t approve of his methods, but she’s been with him for so long now that she knows speaking up would be useless. So she keeps quiet, occasionally shooting him disappointed glances.

You have a stunning and impressive Imperial collection, but I came back to Bressay in the end (Algrenir and Angurvadal were close second). His design is immaculate. I love how the torn, disrupted wings harmonize with the gilded compass - as if the melting gold would eat the holes in the wings. The effects are glorious! I also love his mystic, sublime, and divine appearance. He's incredibly stunning, kudos!
