Biography
"You look over the shoulder of the barkeeper to peek into the back. A male Imperial skillfully prepares several dishes and hands them off to the waiter to be given to the customers. When he glances up and notices your gaze, he tosses a suspicious glare your way. Clearly not the most friendly dragon."
PROFILE
ITEMS & FAMILIAR |
PERSONALITY & QUIRKS One of the more irritable dragons within the Sanctuary, Faux is more grumpy than unfriendly. His tactlessness comes from being forthright, not from being purposefully rude, which most dragons fail to notice. Not only that but Faux’s quick temper is easily provoked and can have disastrous results when it is. The tactless and unfriendly manners causes Faux to seem downright rude (And often he actually is) or aggressive to strangers and acquaintances alike. Despite this he isn’t truly a bad guy and can be almost charming when he reins in his temper. Despite his grumpiness Faux makes an excellent friend. He has a surprisingly gracious charm to those considered his friends and isn’t afraid to offer a helping hand when necessary. Faux can even be a gentleman at times if he actually likes someone as shown with his interactions with his mate or employees. It is with friends that Faux shows his more humorous side. He lets out that unmistakable love for small tricks and pranks associated with his element, something surprising for the large and grumpy giant. Entitled or haughty customers are the bane to Faux’s existence. He hates it when they decide that they are right no matter what and force their opinions on others. Faux especially hates it when they purposefully criticize his meals badly or are disrespectful to his employees. He can understand drunk customers and let Reveler deal with them but cannot stand the others. Those that are disrespectful towards the establishment or employees quickly regret it when Faux decides to come out of the back and deal with them. Many would prefer Reveler tossing them out than provoking Faux. There is one thing that provokes Faux more than any entitled customer. Pests. More specifically, the various rats and mice that decided that the Greattusk Rest Tavern would be a good place to steal food from. Anytime he sees even one small Sparrowmouse, Faux's temper sparks and he sends Diablo to hunt it down. After hours Faux will rant and rave to Reveler’s impassive ear as she continues to do whatever she was doing unconcerned. A few “uh huh’s” and “that’s right” thrown into the conversation is all Reveler is willing to offer during most of these rants. Reveler’s only compromise is strictly forbidding rodent familiars within Greattusk Rest Tavern. ABOUT Greattusk Rest Tavern is both Faux’s pride and home. Together, she and Faux built it from the ground up when the Sanctuary was still small. It is because the Sanctuary was so small that their inn flourished. Well, that and Faux’s cooking. Being the only tavern in a steadily growing clan with little other options for entertainment caused Greattusk Rest’s business to boom. As the Sanctuary grew, so did Greattusk Rest, and what was nothing more than a bar and some cards became the biggest, most bustling tavern around. Faux is methodical about his job as head chef and cook of Greattusk Rest. In the mornings before the bar is opened and guests are still asleep Faux will begin the day’s breakfast. The breakfast menu is different everyday and served hot until an hour before lunch. Once breakfast is made and ready to be served Faux moves onto meals that require longer preparation, popping the ingredients into pots or stoves as he handles multiple meals at once. Lunch is a busy time as dragons decide to take a midday break and the clanging of pots and pans spill out from the constant racket of Faux’s cooking. Supper is when the longer preparation meals are served and it is then Faux can take a break before the late night drinkers come in. Depending on the planned meals and his mood Faux will often retire before the tavern is overtaken by drunks unless he feels the desire to stay up with Reveler until closing time. It is a good thing that hatchlings are not the most pressing concern to this pair. Between the tavern and his often grump attitude, Faux has little desire nor care for continuing his family line. He does secretly enjoy teaching young dragons to cook and can be caught slipping treats to those that stand his presence long enough to learn. FAMILIAR BACKGROUND/PERSONALITY Faux bought Diablo from a Lionsnake breeder not long after Greattusk Rest opened. For the most part Diablo is taking a nap behind the bar or begging for scraps from customers. It is when Faux notices a rodent that Diablo actually does his job, before a rant starts. Diablo does actually enjoy hunting rodents but is too lazy to bother finding them more often then not. SKILLS & HOBBIES Faux is an expert in local cuisine of all flights and has even dabbled in Beastclan recipes. His skill in baking is somewhat lacking compared to his other skills but this is only due to how rarely he bothers to make something sweet. ALTERNATE LOOKS/FORMS EXTRA |

I like the idea that they're tavern/inn owners!
Faux is the one that takes care of the cooking and the rooms of the tavern. He's kind of a grumpy guy, but he's not bad. He does have one thing that infuriates him, like sets him off into rants. And it has to be a common thing, like maybe a dish they serve, or a hairstyle. He'll rant and rave about it and Reveler will continue doing what she's doing while throwing a few "uh-huh"s and "that's right"s in there. He does his job methodically and is one of the best cooks around, which is why their tavern is so popular. He has no tact or friendly manner though, so he's regulated to staying behind the scenes and doesn't interact with the customers at all, if Reveler can help it at least. He's got a bit of a temper and entitled customers bring it out in no time.
Reveler is the face of the tavern, she's friendly and charming and knows what to say and how to say it. She's the bartender and she prides herself in her drinks. She can do showy twirls and flips of the bottles to woo customers, but she only does that with new customers or people she thinks will tip good. She's a heavyweight, able to drink with the best of them and stay completely sober. She loves Faux with all her heart and adores how he gets angry. She'll let him rant about whatever, after all, she's probably heard it all before. He always thanks her for listening, even if she was tuning out the whole conversation, she never corrects him either. She's the calm in the storm of the tavern, able to deescalate most altercations, and when it can't be solved peacefully, she won't hesitate to bodily throw someone out.
