She was never supposed to happen.

This was never supposed to happen.

Supposedly, she should've never existed.

When she was born, already undead with a never born sibling to a smashed egg, her mother was undead. Royal didn't stop to think that somehow, this would cause...Ava.

It was tough, at first, to get used to the living yet rotting, growing yet dead creature walking around the clan. There was supposed to be two of her, with a second egg in that clutch, but...something got in, the one time Wingtin wasn't looking, and suddenly the nest of two was a nest of one. Wingtin confined himself to the Hatchery after that, lining the nest with the fur of the creature who'd killed what was supposed to be his child.

Silently, secretly, some wished that she'd died as well. For better or for worse, the egg hatched, a little Imperial with pure white eyes.

Half-dead, almost a zombie. She's unnatural. But you just can't KILL HER.

Back when Sunclaw was around, he supposedly used her as an attack dog, with her coming running any time he yelled, snarling and chomping at whatever upset him.
But then why does she seem so upset that he's gone?
Why is she so protective over his adoptive brother Tangerine?
Maybe he was just one of the few dragons who saw her potential.

Other than Tangerine, she's developed an attachment to Spirit and Oryx. Strangely enough, Oryx seems to have absolutely no desire to absorb the undead Imperial in to itself, leaving the Emperor with only three heads despite the four it can so easily have.

Her Steelhound, Clinky, isn't just her friend, or her pet, he's a valuable service animal, lovingly built by Lemon, who's obviously quite fond of Ava. Clinky works in removing Ava from distressing situations, gently guiding her and calming her down.
