B lind from birth, Kilug never let his disability get in the way. He was just as active and playful as all the other hatchlings, possibly even a bigger troublemaker than either of his siblings. He has no 'special sense' to compensate for his lack of eyesight - no vibration, nothing like that... just his regular ol' sense of hearing, smell, touch, and taste. He has a curious habit of holding his head down so he can feel out his immediate surroundings with his horns, and can differentiate individual dragons by the sound of their footsteps.

As he grew, the sounds of his dueling nest-mates made him curious. They were training to fight underneath the clan's guard-captain, Sunspot. She did not let him join the others for fear that he'd be hurt, so he began training himself. His foes were fallen trees, and his sister as they play-fought. He learned to hear movement all around him, and use his own barking cries to echolocate. Naturally, as a Guardian, he grew very big and strong... and his relatively slow and methodical movement compared to his peers was bolstered by devastatingly heavy hits. He quickly surpassed most of the other young dragons in Sunspot's classes and began to train younglings himself, especially on how to get around their particular hardships. Not just his disability of course; but he teaches them how to fight around missing limbs, species size differences, even how to exercise if the young one just has an achy back that day.

Tempted to find his charge, Kilug soon left the safety of his nest and now wanders to impart what he knows upon others.
