no worries at all & hope you had a good day at work! my mental/social energy is at rock bottom today so i apologise if i come across a bit lethargic. ; _; but yes, i'm in Scotland! i used to live ~15 mins from Sir Walter Scott's Monument haha; now i'm a little further out, but i can still see it from my back window

generally i prefer reading from a physical book, but i looked up Ivanhoe on Project Gutenberg for a precursory peek - it might take me a while to work through that prose! man, i used to read so much as a kid and now i look at that and feel like a caveman staring at a monolith right now lmao. :') gotta get into reading again for sure. and that's really interesting re: the two editions of Frankenstein, i had no idea there were two versions!

considering the size of your lair, i imagine it takes quite a bit of work to manage it all! as an older player myself, it's really interesting — and lovely — to see people enjoying old dragons and giving them a new lease of life. ; w;

oh goodness, my bookshelves are similarly full to bursting! regardless of my current inability to read, my love of literature has never died... i'm particularly weak for pretty covers and old books on obscure topics. one of my shelves even collapsed recently - that was a nightmare haha. i'll have to look up a copy of Ivanhoe! i live in his city, so it's only right haha~ i'll get my hands on Frankenstein as well; that quote in your bio hits a lot closer to home than i'd like to admit :')

totally get you regarding non-g1s! when i first got back i was tempted to exalt everything and go full g1, but there was no way i could get rid of some of these kids... forming emotional attachments to pixels is easy. they're with us through so much, it's no wonder!

ohh yes the army of dragons to sell is very familiar haha! pricing has always been a struggle for me, but i'm reluctant to just exalt - learning about Old Oaks made me think about all the ones i got rid of years ago and. man. i regret losing some of those. :')

no such thing as enjoying literature too much imo! this might sound odd, but your bio/about quotes really make me want to read again? it's been a while (mental health suffering;;) but i found myself curious about Rebecca and Ivanhoe; classics, especially those by Scottish writers, are something i've wanted to dig into for ages!

and you're far too kind aaa ; w; i appreciate the lovely words about my lair, disorganised as it may be! ♥ i'm recently returned after a long break and gradually shifting things around, figuring out a new aesthetic and lore... and slowly falling into g1 hell lol sorry for rambling a bit!
