Welcome to Edoran.
Formerly known as the Clan of Red Skies under my mother, but we are not so barbaric anymore. Take a look around. Stay if you'd like. We're a small and new clan, but our aspirations are quite great, as you will find.
I am Valadriel, the reigning ruler of this city. All owe me their adoration and their woe.
Edoran is a sprawling paradise within the barren lands of the Ashfall Waste. The city is a refuge for many travelers and has a reputation for allowing dragons of all kinds within the walls of their territory. The canyon in which the city resides is known as the Red Gorge. It is not a natural formation. It was carved, long ago, by the ancient miners of the region, who extracted iron, gold, and other metals from the red dirt. Now, it serves as one of the most well-protected areas in the Ashfall Waste. And for good reason.
Unfortunately, slavery, poverty, and corruption as a whole are very much rampant in this land of dragons. The city was founded and serves to defend the victims of such crimes. Valadriel's predecessor, Zeraphina, was known to have taken in thousands of dragons during her time as the city's Matriarch. In their history books, this is still regarded as the most progressive era of the clan. Still, Valadriel takes the title for the most prosperous ruler, having brought Edoran into a golden age of trade and construction.
Still, there is something unsettling about this illegitimate sovereign.
