Note: I just realized We've had a
ghost haunting the locke for 10 days! Carson should've died on Day 18 with Thora due to their death bond and I never marked it.
I'm blaming the fact I always update this late at night & constantly overlooked his info because there wasn't much going on with him.
However he is now going to be considered
dead.

This was
her fault. Elros had taken them into battle to drive out the beasts threatening the group's safety. She'd been
so confident that they could defeat them— and they had... At a high price.
She nuzzled her sister, tears sliding down her cheeks. Amyr had been her biggest supporter since the beginning, they were supposed to raise their hatchlings together. Her sister wasn't supposed to die!
The guardian turned, a feeling of bitterness rising in her as she watched Iris and Bruthen back up and walking. Elros should be glad the two had been revived by the empire's pair of necromancers... but one of them should've been
Amyr. Now their magic for the day had been pushed to the limit... and Elros was left without a sister.
Heavy steps approached and Sprite's bright scales came into sight. The knight looked mournfully down at his mate... and then glanced over to her. "It's not your fault. Things like this... they'll happen."
Words choked with pain and emotion. Elros didn't believe them, as sincere as he seemed.
"Is he only refraining from pointing the blame at me because I'm his charge?"
She hoped not. That would be cruel to the both of them.
Behind her, she could hear her uncle taking charge of the situation. Meanwhile, Elros remained rooted to the grey sand. Dragons came and went as they checked on her, at some point Sprite had to leave to pick up the hatchlings and relieve Sullivan from babysitting duty for the day, and then she was alone.
The sun dipped lower, turning the sky to fire, while the temperature cooled as the moons rose high overhead. Morning would come too soon... and with it, Amyr's burial. Elros retreated to her room.
